Women's Football Alliance Begins 2022 Season
We are talking about REAL tackle football. No gimmicks. No lingerie or bikinis. This is women's tackle football as it was meant to be played. The Women's Football Alliance (WFA) is a professional full-contact Women's American football tackle league that began play in 2009. It is the largest 11-on-11 football league for women in the world, and the longest running active women's football league in the U.S. Since 2016. The league has 63 teams in three competitive levels: Pro, Division 2 and Division 3.
The Boston Renegades (Pro), Nevada Storm (Div 2) and Derby City Dynamite (Div 3) are seeking to defend their titles as they kick off the season.
For the first time, you might actually get a chance to watch the league as the WFA has signed a 2022 Network Deal to broadcast the 2022 WFA PRO Games of the Week on national television, reaching millions of viewers. For the Fans Network (formerly Eleven Sports) will televise the WFA Games of the Week, matching the top WFA Pro teams in the league on its multiple platforms including Roku, Direct TV, and Xumo.
Upcoming games are:
- April 16 - St. Louis Slam at Minnesota Vixen
- April 30 - Minnesota Vixen at Nevada Storm
- May 7 - Pittsburgh Passion at Boston Renegades
- May 14 - Cali War at Arlington Impact
- May 21 - Cali War at Nevada Storm
- May 28 - DC Divas at Pittsburgh Passion
