2023 Indoor Football Champions

 


National Arena League:  Jacksonville Sharks 54, Carolina Cobras 45


Sharks rallied from an early 31-14 deficit to win their third title in six years. Sharks QB Sam Castronova finished the championship game with 241 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, all in the second half, and scored two rushing touchdowns.

Indoor Football League:  Bay Area Panthers 51, Sioux Falls Storm 41

The Panthers won their first championship. QB Dalton Sneed had injured his throwing arm in the Western Conference Championship win over Northern Arizona in the previous week and did not practice but he finished 10 of 11 for 106 yards and two scores. The only incompletion came on a dropped ball early in the second quarter. He added 47 yards rushing on 12 carries with three touchdowns in the first half.

Champions Indoor Football: Omaha Beef 50, Salina Liberty 30

Omaha finished with a perfect season (13-0) to win their second title in three seasons.  Beef QB Tommy Armstrong had three touchdowns in the game.  Omaha will move to play in the National Arena League next season.

American West Football Conference: Idaho Horsemen 42, Oregon High Desert Storm 20

Idaho won their second league title.  The Horsemen outscored Oregon 22-6 in the second half to take control of the game.  Idaho had average 70 points per game during the regular season.

American Arena League 2:  Jersey Bearcats 39, Steel City Stampede 18

American Indoor Football Alliance:  Columbus (GA) Lions 55, Mississippi Raiders 10

The Lions dominated the league and cruised to the title.  They outscored their opponents 466-135.  This was the Lions' fourth title in their fourth different league.  Columbus had won titles in the Southern Indoor Football League (2010), Professional Indoor Football League (2015), American Indoor Football (2016) and American Indoor Football Alliance (2023).  They will move back to a re-vamped American Indoor Football next season.
